What type of work do Insulators perform?

Insulators work in one of the following fields:

Mechanical Insulation:
Install and maintain mechanical insulation systems on piping, equipment and ductwork. This field focuses on enhancing energy efficiency, reducing heat loss or gain and protecting mechanical systems overall.

Firestopping:
Install fire-resistant materials and systems to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gases. This critical work enhances building safety, complies with fire codes and regulations and saves lives.

Specialty Fabrication:

Create custom mechanical insulation solutions for unique and complex mechanical systems. This field requires a high level of precision and creativity to meet specific client needs.

Sound Attenuation:
Reduce noise levels and vibrations in various settings. This field focuses on improving acoustic environments for both comfort and productivity. This work can take place in industrial facilities, commercial spaces and larger residential structures.
