On his first appearance of 2017 on America’s Workforce Radio Dorsey Hager, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Columbus/Central Ohio Construction and Building Trades Council, said his members worked a combined 4.5 million hours in the previous year.
By working 4.5 million hours, his members earned more than $35 million in health and welfare benefits and also received over $47 million in retirement benefits.
His 19 affiliated unions combined to spend more than $3.5 million on workforce development and training.
While 2016 was busy, Hager said his members may work even more in 2017.
