Crystal Lett is running to represent District 11 in the Ohio House of Representatives. Lett has been endorsed by the Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council due to her regular support of the building trades.
Along with the C/COCTC, Lett has been endorsed by the Franklin County Democratic Party, Able Dems, Moms Demand Action, OAPSE/AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Run for Something, VoteMama and Ohio Environmental Council.
“I am running for the Ohio House of Representatives because it’s time that the government starts listening to the people again,” Lett said.
As the mother of a child with special needs, Lett and her family understand the struggles that countless families endure. Whether it was navigating a complicated healthcare system, making tough financial choices to afford essential medical care or finding dependable and affordable childcare, She realized that Ohioans needed a voice to stand up for them.
C/COBCTC Executive Secretary-Treasurer Dorsey Hager believes Lett deserves the building trades council’s support.
“Crystal Lett is a rising star in Franklin County Politics,” Hager said. “She is running in a House seat that went to Joe Biden in 2020 and I believe she will win her election and the opportunity to represent her constituents in the Ohio House.”
Lett thanks C/COBCTC for endorsement
Today, Lett works at a non-profit organization that helps tear down the barriers of running for office. She knows Ohio is a better place when a diverse group of people are at the table where decisions are made.
“It is an honor to receive the endorsement of the Columbus Building Trades,” Lett said. “Representing Ohio’s working families will be an important priority, if elected. I look forward to working with the Columbus Building Trades to build a strong future for workers and families in Ohio.”
C/COBCTC affiliated members are encouraged to support candidates like Lett, who advocate for the trades and focus on issues affecting these industries.
