The Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council proudly endorses Ohio State Sen. Stephanie Kunze in her bid to retain her seat in the 16th District.
“Sen. Stephanie Kunze is not only a personal friend, but a friend and advocate of the Building Trades,” said Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council Executive Secretary-Treasurer Dorsey Hager. “She has been an outspoken supporter of unions and all working people of Ohio. Her experience and hard work is deserving of our endorsement and continued support. She deserves re-election to the Ohio Senate.”
“As a member of the Central Ohio delegation and a witness to Central Ohio’s growth over the past decade, the importance of the building trades has never been more apparent and is key to our economic success and prosperity,” Sen. Kunze said. “Having the endorsement of the Columbus/Central Ohio Building Trades is an honor and I look forward to continue to partner with you in service to Ohio. I am grateful for all you do.”
Currently serving her first term in the Ohio Senate, Sen. Kunze has also been elected to serve in the Ohio House of Representatives and also served on Hilliard City Council.
She is known for her passionate advocacy for small business, education and health issues important to Ohioans. She has successfully championed legislation aimed at reducing the opiate epidemic that is plaguing Ohio’s communities and legislation aimed at delivering justice for victims of sexual violence, advocated for efforts to improve Ohio’s business climate and fought to ensure that Ohio’s students receive the highest quality education possible.
While serving in the Ohio House, she was the lead sponsor of a bill, which sent an additional $100 million to school districts statewide for the construction and renovation of better facilities.
“I am running for re-election to continue my service of fighting for stronger communities, building Ohio’s economy and investing in our children’s future,” said Sen. Kunze. “I am committed to reducing disparities in our community and will continue to stand up for survivors and victims of abuse, neglect, trafficking and domestic violence.”
Sen. Kunze is a member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce, Hilliard Area Chamber of Commerce, The Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce and Franklin County Farm Bureau. Senator Kunze
