The Columbus/Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council proudly endorses Rep. Rich Brown for Ohio State Representative District 5.
The Democrat currently serves in the 20th District, but due to redistricting, was moved to the 5th District.
“I am running for re-election for my third full term to continue the work I have started, providing adequate funding for our public schools, working to lower opioid overdose deaths, protecting workers’ rights and strengthening the economies and safety of the communities within my district,” Brown said.
In addition to the C/COBCTC, Brown has been endorsed by:
- Ohio Federation of Teachers
- Ohio Education Association
- Progressive Turnout Project
Brown is a strong supporter of the building trades.
“I am extremely proud to have received the endorsement of the Columbus Building Trades, as it shows that I care about and understand the issues of working men and women,” Brown said. “I have a son who is a heavy crane operator and a member of the Operating Engineers, Local 18. The issues of concern to working men and women resonate with me, as they concern my own family.
“I have and will continue to advocate on behalf of working men and women and the organized labor groups that helped to create the middle class in America,” he added.
